Before School and After School Clubs
Lyminster runs both before- and after-school clubs to support our parents who work or those with other commitments. These are called Early Dragons and Sunset Dragons.
The Early Dragons Club runs from 7:50am – 8:50am every school day (please be aware this means it will not be open on Inset days or school holidays).
The children play games and take part in other activities, before being escorted to their class. We do not provide breakfast, but it is a great way for your child to start school in a fun, calm and relaxed way.
We accept Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers for both clubs and once you have registered and paid into your Tax Free Childcare account, we have a simple system to communicate your voucher preferences with us. The cost per session is £5.00 and places need to be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance (please call the office if you suddenly find you need to book your child after this cut-off time and we will try to accommodate you if there is space).
Drop off for the club currently takes place through the main hall doors and the children are taken directly to class afterwards.
The Sunset Dragons Club runs directly from the end of the school day until 6:00pm. The cost is £5.00 from 3:30pm - 5:00pm and £9:50 from 3:20-6:00pm. Places need to be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance (please call the office if you suddenly find you need to book your child after this cut-off time, and we will try to accommodate you if there is space).
At the end of the day, parents call the Sunset Dragons mobile phone to let the staff know they are at the front office, ready to collect their child. Please ensure you let the school staff know if someone other than the 'known' parent or carer is collecting your child.
Bookings for both clubs need to be made through the My Child at School App (MCAS), the process is easy and staff can support you through this the first time you book.
