Year 2 will be looking at the books of our class author, Anthony Browne, this term. He is a celebrated author/illustrator who has won many prestigious awards and was selected as the Children's Laureate for the years 2009-20011.
Anthony Browne's work often substitutes gorillas for people and uses a lot of fairy-tale imagery to tell his stories. His tales are multi-layered and the children will enjoy finding things in his detailed, magical illustrations.
If you are interested in seeing more of his work, the local library is sure to have plenty of Anthony Browne books and will be happy to get more in if needed.
